I need a recipe with strawberries (fresh) and frozen vanilla yogurt. Any ideas?
I want something preferably without ice.
Recipe for Strawberry Milkshake or Smoothie?
2 cups Fresh Strawberries
2 cups frozen vanilla yogurt
a cup of milk or vanilla ice cream
make a really good milkshake.
Reply:you can get some peanutbutter and some banana and you can add other fruit and mix it all up oh and add ice=)
mmmmmmmmmmmmm
2 cups Yogurt
1/8 cup sugar (optional)
1/2 cup whipped creame
Blend/mix and pour
Makes 2-3 Creamy strawberry creame smoothies
Reply:Pretty much, just put them in the blenders and that's it. This is also good with Bananas, or any fresh fruit you have on hand.
Reply:About milkshakes, I've got a tip. Imstead of milk and cream, you can use baby formula milk, but you dissolve the power in half the amount of water than is the proportion for baby milk, so you make it rich and thick. You shake it in a shaker, and it becomes a thick milkshake, you add the flavour you like, like the strawberries, and there you go!
Reply:Strawberry milkshake: Take a blender, then put in 1 and 1/2 cups of strawberries with the stem cut off. Then add 2 cups of milk, and 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar. Then put 1/2 cup of strawberry coolwhip. Then add some origanal stray whip cream. Then blend the ingrediants, and when it comes to a creamy light pink foamy texture, there's your shake!
Strawberry smoothie: take a blender and add in 1 and 1/2 cup of strawberries with the stem cut off. Then add half of a banana (sliced), after that, squeeze one pouch of one of those pouced juice (like Hi-c), and then add 2 cups of milk. Then add 1/2 of sugar and blend until theres a thick texture of medium pink. There's your smoothie! Enjoy! (these recipes both serve three)
Sorry, but these recepies don't include frozen vanilla yogurt, but feel free to add some!
1 cup of frozen vanilla yogurt
2 cups of milk (fatfree for healthy version)
1 tsp grated lemon zest (optional)
Blend on high
Okay this is really good but just because nobody measures anymore, 1 part ie cream 1 part strawberries 2 parts milk and some lemon zest.

How do i make homemade strawberry syrup like at denny's?
If you go to Google and type in "recipe strawberry syrup"
you will have a number of recipes to choose from and can pick the one that sounds best to you. Now you have me hungry for strawberry belgian waffles!
Reply:I haven't actually tried their syrup, however the way I make my strawberry sauce for waffles, is by slicing some thawed (previously frozen - no extra sugar added) strawberries, putting them in a bowl, sprinkle a few teaspoons of sugar and let sit for about 30 minutes. The sugar will help the juices run and give a nice syrup flavor to the strawberries.
Or to make it easier, just buy the frozen strawberries that contain sugar, and let them thaw out. You can then boil them and get more of a syrup.
Reply:ewwwwwwwwwwwwww u actually EAT AT DENNY'S? i hate that restaurant their food is NASTY!

You can use substitute drained canned mandarine orange slices or any fresh fruit in season you desire in this recipe. This is a very surprising recipe with the mixture of strawberries and onions. The mixture of the strawberry and onion flavours surpises you!
1 package fresh spinach leaves or 1 head romaine lettuce
1 medium-size red onions
1 pint fresh strawberries
Dressing
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (do not substitute)
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
Dressing: Mix sugar, mayonnaise and sour cream together.
Add milk, apple cider vinegar and poppy seeds Stir well to blend and ensure sugar is dissolved.
Refrigerate dressing overnight Next day Wash, dry and tear the lettuce up.
If using spinach leave the whole leaves if nice and tender ones.
You might want to tear the leaves if they're larger ones.
Slice red onion into thin slices.
Slice strawberries into thin slices.
Just before serving your salad, pour enough dressing over the salad to moisten all ingredients.
You might have a little dressing left over depending upon the amount of spinach/romain you use in salad.
Toss and serve salad.

Do not waste the good yummy strawberries on anything, eat them pure. Or with whipped cream - there is nothing that gives you more of a spring-is-coming feeling than eating strawberries with whipped cream on the balcony (in the garden, in the park...). ;)

Can anyone tell me how to make Strawberry Shortcake filling?
Best Strawberry Shortcake Filling
Filling
4 cups sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Shortcake
2 cups self-rising flour
2 tablespoons sugar
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 large egg
2/3 cup cream or buttermilk
1 8-inch pan, buttered, lined with parchment or wax paper
1. To make filling, combine sliced berries and sugar and allow to macerate, covered, in the refrigerator for several hours before serving. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla, cover and refrigerate.
2. For the shortcake, preheat oven to 450 degrees and set a rack in the middle level.
3. Combine flour and sugar in bowl of a food processor outfitted with the metal blade and pulse several times to mix. Cut butter into 8 pieces and add. Pulse 12 to 15 times to reduce to fine crumbs. Whisk egg and cream together and add. Pulse several times to mix. At this point the dough will be very soft. Scrape dough into prepared pan and smooth top. Bake until well colored and firm, about 15 to 20 minutes. Invert from pan to a rack to cool.
4. To assemble, split shortcake and place one round on a platter. Top with half the berries and half the cream. Place second layer of shortcake on top of cream and repeat with remaining berries and cream. Serve immediately.
Old-Fashioned Strawberry Shortcake filling
Biscuits:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1 stick butter, chilled
2/3 to 3/4 cup half and half, milk, or cream
.
Filling:
1 quart strawberries
1/3 cup sugar
.
1 1/2 cups whipping cream for topping, or non-dairy whipped topping
PREPARATION:
Rinse the berries under cold water; drain well. Hull and slice the berries; place in a bowl. Sprinkle with the sugar; cover and let stand at room temperature for about 1 hour. Whip the cream (sweeten with 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar, if desired) until it holds a soft peak. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Set rack at center level.
In a food processor (you can use a pastry cutter or fingertips) combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar and pulse to mix. Cut butter into about 8 pieces and add to the mixture. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse meal, but with few pea-size chunks of butter left in the mixture. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and make a well in the center. With a fork stir in the cream or milk, just until dough is moist. Be very careful not to overwork. The dough doesn't have to hold together well at this point. Let the dough stand for a minute. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Fold the dough over on itself (knead) 2 or 3 times, until it is holding together and is less sticky.
Gently pat the dough into a 6 by 12-inch rectangle about 3/4-inch thick and cut into 8 (3-inch) biscuits with a floured round cutter. Transfer to a buttered foil-lined cookie sheet. Brush on a little milk or cream and sprinkle tops with some sugar, if desired. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until risen and golden brown. Remove to a platter and split each biscuit horizontally with a serrated knife. Butter the hot buscuits then top with about 1/3 cup of berry mixture. Replace the tops and top with a tablespoon or so of berries. Serve with whipped cream for topping.
Reply:Strawberry shortcake (at least the ones I've eaten) are simply white cake (or angelfood) topped with strawberries %26amp; sweet whipped cream.
Slice your strawberries ahead of time and sprinkle them with sugar so they get nice and juicy.
Reply:Some people just sugar the strawberries and let them sit for a few hours to form a syrup. Some cook up that syrup with a little cornstarch to thicken.
It is most traditional to just let the strawberries sit with sugar until syrup forms. Just before serving layer cake/shortcake/whatever, strawberries with syrup, whipped cream (no need to stabilize it), more cake, repeat as needed/desired.
Strawberry shortcake does NOT store well at all. It really should be assembled just before serving.

Strawberry-Orange Salad
Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
2 pounds strawberries
4 navel oranges
Preparation
1. Bring 1 1/2 cups water and sugar to a boil. Cook just until clear, 2 to 3 minutes. Let syrup cool very briefly, then add 1/4 cup thinly sliced fresh basil leaves. Set aside to steep and cool.
2. Rinse and hull strawberries and cut them into quarters (or sixths if very large).
3. With a small, sharp knife, cut ends off oranges. Set 1 orange cut side down on a cutting board. Following its curve with the knife, slice off peel and white pith. Holding orange over a bowl to catch juice, cut between inner membranes and fruit to release segments; drop segments into bowl. Squeeze juice from membranes into bowl and discard membranes. Repeat with remaining oranges.
4. Add strawberries to oranges and pour basil syrup over fruit. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
