are there any herbicides that will kill unwanted grass in a strawberry patch, but not kill the strawberries? I have a strawberry patch and it is being taken over by a tall variety of grass, and I want to get rid of the grass, but not the strawberries. Strawberries are a type of broadleaf I think, If that helps.
Herbicides in Strawberry Patch?
You might look at Prowl herbicide. It controls grass in soybeans and cotton but I'm not sure if it's labeled for strawberries. The problem with most of the others is that they are a restricted use pesticides and you have to be licensed to purchase them. Check with your county extension agent for information. Garden centers will sell you something that's for sure. You can go to the Texas Extentsion Service website for a wealth of information.
