i was wondering if you could take a cutting from a wild strawberry and start and new plant from it
Can you grow wild strawberry from a clipping the vine?
the clipping must have a root to it. If you have a leave the has a bump at the bottom you may be able to start one. However if you can get somemore take one with a root, strawberries multiple pretty quickly, and they sent out what we call runners. These runners will then start a new plant. Once there is a new plant the runner may be cut to have it send out more runners and more plants. I heard wild strawberries are the best. I think it is because of the small size have the best flavors same as small eggs. (JUST A FYI) Good growering . and keep them water also.
Reply:Berries are invasive. You could probably throw it on your lawn and have a patch of them by next year! Took me 5 years to get rid of a strawberry that I planted.
