What can I do to cake batter to prevent strawberry filling from falling to bottom of pan when baking?

Try this recipe that uses a cake mix and sour cream. The sour cream changes the consistency of the mix and "holds" the filling. I've only used it for cupcakes so I'm not sure of the baking time in a cake pan. You'll just have to watch it.

I thought that when you did a filling for a cake that you baked the cake, cool it off, cut it in half length wise, then put the filling in the middle of the 2 side of cake.
Reply:cook the cake a little bit and then add the filling
Reply:I would pour like 3/4 of the batter into the pan, then put the strawberry filling and put the rest of the batter on top. If you have a thicker bottom, perhaps the filling will not sink all the way.
