What do you think a baby would look like whose mother has strawberry blonde hair and freckles?

and whose father is a dark-skinned African-American man?



I am the only redhead in my generation. My parents aren't redhaired, either, so I don't know what the deal is with that gene!



I know you can't tell me, but I'm just imagining and want other opinions or if you know people with our characteristics who've had a baby.

Hmmm... it doesn't matter. Your baby will be beautiful anyway. In my personal opinion I think most bi-racial babies are gorgeous. Is it their skin? Their hair? their overall features? I don't know but almost every bi-racial person I have ever met have been very good looking.



Maybe some light skin, a little reddish/brownish hair. Freckles too! I love freckles and I don't know why... they are just cute.
Reply:I think you will find that your colouring is recessive and your partners will be dominant, although your baby won't be as dark as the father. Good luck
Reply:if your strawberry blonde then you have two recessive genes if your husband has dark hair and is african american then chances are he has two dominant genes for dark hair

this would mean 100% of your children will have dark hair

if your husband is a carrier of a recessive light hair gene (which i highly doubt) then there is a 50% chance your children will have light hair and a 50% chance they have dark hair

the skin colour of your children will be a mix of you and the fathers skin

so it would probably be a medium skin colour

child probably wont have freckles

they will also probably have dark eyes

just because of the dominance of dark genes over light genes
Reply:The dark gene will most likely be dominant in your child. My daughter's father is a pure redhead and I have brunette hair. She has blond hair with green eyes. Because the father is African-American the baby will probably get brown eyes and darker hair. It wouldn't per say be really dark hair though, it could be a really light brown color I would think but I don't know for sure. My neice is half mexican and her hair is jet black and she has dark brown eyes. She got her mothers facial features but the dad's hair and eye color were dominant.
