I need a recipe with strawberries (fresh) and frozen vanilla yogurt. Any ideas?
I want something preferably without ice.
Recipe for Strawberry Milkshake or Smoothie?
2 cups Fresh Strawberries
2 cups frozen vanilla yogurt
a cup of milk or vanilla ice cream
make a really good milkshake.
Reply:you can get some peanutbutter and some banana and you can add other fruit and mix it all up oh and add ice=)
mmmmmmmmmmmmm
2 cups Yogurt
1/8 cup sugar (optional)
1/2 cup whipped creame
Blend/mix and pour
Makes 2-3 Creamy strawberry creame smoothies
Reply:Pretty much, just put them in the blenders and that's it. This is also good with Bananas, or any fresh fruit you have on hand.
Reply:About milkshakes, I've got a tip. Imstead of milk and cream, you can use baby formula milk, but you dissolve the power in half the amount of water than is the proportion for baby milk, so you make it rich and thick. You shake it in a shaker, and it becomes a thick milkshake, you add the flavour you like, like the strawberries, and there you go!
Reply:Strawberry milkshake: Take a blender, then put in 1 and 1/2 cups of strawberries with the stem cut off. Then add 2 cups of milk, and 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar. Then put 1/2 cup of strawberry coolwhip. Then add some origanal stray whip cream. Then blend the ingrediants, and when it comes to a creamy light pink foamy texture, there's your shake!
Strawberry smoothie: take a blender and add in 1 and 1/2 cup of strawberries with the stem cut off. Then add half of a banana (sliced), after that, squeeze one pouch of one of those pouced juice (like Hi-c), and then add 2 cups of milk. Then add 1/2 of sugar and blend until theres a thick texture of medium pink. There's your smoothie! Enjoy! (these recipes both serve three)
Sorry, but these recepies don't include frozen vanilla yogurt, but feel free to add some!
1 cup of frozen vanilla yogurt
2 cups of milk (fatfree for healthy version)
1 tsp grated lemon zest (optional)
Blend on high
Okay this is really good but just because nobody measures anymore, 1 part ie cream 1 part strawberries 2 parts milk and some lemon zest.

How do i make homemade strawberry syrup like at denny's?
If you go to Google and type in "recipe strawberry syrup"
you will have a number of recipes to choose from and can pick the one that sounds best to you. Now you have me hungry for strawberry belgian waffles!
Reply:I haven't actually tried their syrup, however the way I make my strawberry sauce for waffles, is by slicing some thawed (previously frozen - no extra sugar added) strawberries, putting them in a bowl, sprinkle a few teaspoons of sugar and let sit for about 30 minutes. The sugar will help the juices run and give a nice syrup flavor to the strawberries.
Or to make it easier, just buy the frozen strawberries that contain sugar, and let them thaw out. You can then boil them and get more of a syrup.
Reply:ewwwwwwwwwwwwww u actually EAT AT DENNY'S? i hate that restaurant their food is NASTY!

You can use substitute drained canned mandarine orange slices or any fresh fruit in season you desire in this recipe. This is a very surprising recipe with the mixture of strawberries and onions. The mixture of the strawberry and onion flavours surpises you!
1 package fresh spinach leaves or 1 head romaine lettuce
1 medium-size red onions
1 pint fresh strawberries
Dressing
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (do not substitute)
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
Dressing: Mix sugar, mayonnaise and sour cream together.
Add milk, apple cider vinegar and poppy seeds Stir well to blend and ensure sugar is dissolved.
Refrigerate dressing overnight Next day Wash, dry and tear the lettuce up.
If using spinach leave the whole leaves if nice and tender ones.
You might want to tear the leaves if they're larger ones.
Slice red onion into thin slices.
Slice strawberries into thin slices.
Just before serving your salad, pour enough dressing over the salad to moisten all ingredients.
You might have a little dressing left over depending upon the amount of spinach/romain you use in salad.
Toss and serve salad.

Do not waste the good yummy strawberries on anything, eat them pure. Or with whipped cream - there is nothing that gives you more of a spring-is-coming feeling than eating strawberries with whipped cream on the balcony (in the garden, in the park...). ;)

Can anyone tell me how to make Strawberry Shortcake filling?
Best Strawberry Shortcake Filling
Filling
4 cups sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Shortcake
2 cups self-rising flour
2 tablespoons sugar
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 large egg
2/3 cup cream or buttermilk
1 8-inch pan, buttered, lined with parchment or wax paper
1. To make filling, combine sliced berries and sugar and allow to macerate, covered, in the refrigerator for several hours before serving. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla, cover and refrigerate.
2. For the shortcake, preheat oven to 450 degrees and set a rack in the middle level.
3. Combine flour and sugar in bowl of a food processor outfitted with the metal blade and pulse several times to mix. Cut butter into 8 pieces and add. Pulse 12 to 15 times to reduce to fine crumbs. Whisk egg and cream together and add. Pulse several times to mix. At this point the dough will be very soft. Scrape dough into prepared pan and smooth top. Bake until well colored and firm, about 15 to 20 minutes. Invert from pan to a rack to cool.
4. To assemble, split shortcake and place one round on a platter. Top with half the berries and half the cream. Place second layer of shortcake on top of cream and repeat with remaining berries and cream. Serve immediately.
Old-Fashioned Strawberry Shortcake filling
Biscuits:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
1 stick butter, chilled
2/3 to 3/4 cup half and half, milk, or cream
.
Filling:
1 quart strawberries
1/3 cup sugar
.
1 1/2 cups whipping cream for topping, or non-dairy whipped topping
PREPARATION:
Rinse the berries under cold water; drain well. Hull and slice the berries; place in a bowl. Sprinkle with the sugar; cover and let stand at room temperature for about 1 hour. Whip the cream (sweeten with 2 or 3 tablespoons of sugar, if desired) until it holds a soft peak. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Set rack at center level.
In a food processor (you can use a pastry cutter or fingertips) combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar and pulse to mix. Cut butter into about 8 pieces and add to the mixture. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse meal, but with few pea-size chunks of butter left in the mixture. Transfer the mixture to a large bowl and make a well in the center. With a fork stir in the cream or milk, just until dough is moist. Be very careful not to overwork. The dough doesn't have to hold together well at this point. Let the dough stand for a minute. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Fold the dough over on itself (knead) 2 or 3 times, until it is holding together and is less sticky.
Gently pat the dough into a 6 by 12-inch rectangle about 3/4-inch thick and cut into 8 (3-inch) biscuits with a floured round cutter. Transfer to a buttered foil-lined cookie sheet. Brush on a little milk or cream and sprinkle tops with some sugar, if desired. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until risen and golden brown. Remove to a platter and split each biscuit horizontally with a serrated knife. Butter the hot buscuits then top with about 1/3 cup of berry mixture. Replace the tops and top with a tablespoon or so of berries. Serve with whipped cream for topping.
Reply:Strawberry shortcake (at least the ones I've eaten) are simply white cake (or angelfood) topped with strawberries %26amp; sweet whipped cream.
Slice your strawberries ahead of time and sprinkle them with sugar so they get nice and juicy.
Reply:Some people just sugar the strawberries and let them sit for a few hours to form a syrup. Some cook up that syrup with a little cornstarch to thicken.
It is most traditional to just let the strawberries sit with sugar until syrup forms. Just before serving layer cake/shortcake/whatever, strawberries with syrup, whipped cream (no need to stabilize it), more cake, repeat as needed/desired.
Strawberry shortcake does NOT store well at all. It really should be assembled just before serving.

What do I do about the Strawberry Ground Beetle (Pterostichus melanarius) ?
Actually you probably do not want to do anything with them.
Both adults and larvae are carnivorous and adults also fed on the seeds of several weed species in the laboratory. Large prey, such as earthworms and other beetle and Lepidoptera larvae, are apparently preferred to smaller prey. Pterostichus melanarius adults feed extensively on mature larvae of the codling moth, Cydia pomonella L., when these larvae are seeking hibernation sites in late July and August.
They are considered beneficial
What do I do about the Strawberry Ground Beetle (Pterostichus melanarius) ?
The first strawberries hit by beetles in our patch were the two most outside ones, the first ripe. I caught one of the critters, found that there was pretty much nothing to do except let them have a few over-ripe berries as "bait" to leave the rest alone. That seems to be working here. Report It

How do you hull a strawberry?
Take a paring knife and cut the leaves off, Then cut out the white flesh....
How do you hull a strawberry?
Well, I use a pearing knife and cut a cone-like section out of the top of the strawberry. By doing this you remove the green leaves on the top and the bitter part of the white inside. Good luck!
Reply:Heck, I usually hull them in the back of my pickup truck.

Indoor strawberry plant care?
I bought a strawberry plant kit yesterday it came with 10 seeds and the soil. How do u take care of the plant after u plant the seeds and stuff and when it becomes a plant becuase I have no idea how do take care of one. its my first time and need some help and any help would work out thnxs.
Indoor strawberry plant care?
A perfect location for strawberry plants is in a sunny window. Once the plants are established water once daily. If the soil dries out too much the leaves will droop. After a couple of months you should see runners. Have little pots handy with some soil in them to plant the runners. What I do is keep the runner attached to the mama plant and put it in a small pot next to it until it is well established. You can tell by it's growth. You can then cut from the mama plant and have a new plant. The strawberries I have inside are much happier than my outdoor ones. I don't know why???.
Anywhooo, have fun and happy berry planting!
Reply:Full sun and let soil dry out before watering, it dosen't like to be soggy . When you water, do water well so the water gets down to the botom of the roots. Have fun with your new plants :)

Ingredients required to build a strawberry smoothie are 8 oz cold water, 4tbsp of honey, blenders, 25 to 30 medium strawberries, ? c. Crushed ice and drinking glasses.
The first step is to wash and hull the strawberries, after that put the strawberries, honey and water in to the blender, after that you need to put in the crushed ice. After this blend the mixture until it is smooth, pour it and serve it.

What to do with your strawberry plants after the season is done?
They are perennials. They will overwinter OK even here in New England including the cold spell last winter. Some people put straw over them as frost protection but that usually just attracts firld mice.
What to do with your strawberry plants after the season is done?
i just leave them in the ground if they are in your garden. If they are in pots, you can bring them inside or store them somewhere. I dont know if the plants in pots will come back next year though. I know for sure the ones in a garden will come back next year and perhaps you will have more strawberry plants too.
Reply:trim them toss out the mother plant, wrap up the other strawberries place in a freezer
Reply:I have been growing strawberries for many years. After fruiting the plants will start to send out "runners" that develop into new strawberry plants. To keep my strawberries growing strong and healthy I side-dress with composted manure and keep the beds weeded. Once a year I also sprinkle a few handfuls of bone meal over the bed. My strawberry bed has produced well for the past 8 years, and even produced enough berries and plants to give away to friends.
Reply:Just let them be. They know what to do. :-) The plants that gave you berries this year will send out runners with a new little baby plant at the end, which will root itself into the soil a foot or so away from mom. This new baby plant will give you berries next season, so don't disturb it. Some people will remove the mother plant, which will no longer produce berries next year, but I don't bother...too much work. Maybe someday I will try it and see what happens.

Reply:Strawberry Shortcake:
Due to its lower fat content, this shortcake can overcook and crumble quickly, so watch it carefully in the oven--don't allow it to brown.
Strawberries:
4 cups sliced strawberries
1/4 cup sugar
Shortcake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
6 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into small pieces
2/3 cup fat-free buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cooking spray
1 large egg white, lightly beaten
1 1/2 teaspoons turbinado sugar or granulated sugar
Remaining ingredients:
2 cups frozen fat-free whipped topping, thawed
Whipped topping (optional)
Whole strawberry (optional)
To prepare strawberries, combine strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar; cover and chill 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400°.
To prepare shortcake, lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Combine flour and next 5 ingredients (flour through baking soda) in a large bowl, stirring with a whisk. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Combine buttermilk and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring just until moist (dough will be sticky).
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead lightly 4 times with floured hands. Pat dough into an 8-inch circle on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Brush top with egg white; sprinkle with 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar.
Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes on a wire rack. Carefully split shortcake in half horizontally using a serrated knife; cool layers separately on wire racks.

Due to its lower fat content, this shortcake can overcook and crumble quickly, so watch it carefully in the oven--don't allow it to brown.
Strawberries:
4 cups sliced strawberries
1/4 cup sugar
Shortcake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
6 tablespoons chilled butter, cut into small pieces
2/3 cup fat-free buttermilk

Spread 2 cups whipped topping over shortcake layer; arrange strawberries over whipped topping. Top with remaining shortcake layer, cut side down. Garnish with whipped topping and whole strawberry, if desired.

How do I make a strawberry lemonade chiller like they have at o'charleys?
You have to keep lowering the temperature until it reaches just one degree below freezing point, since there's sugar involved it'll be lower than the water point, which is 0°C

How do I get a strawberry and a truffle in Harvest Moon: Magical Melody?
I only need these last two crops to marry Jamie :)
I know the game ends or whatever, but Im still going for it.
Help please and thank you :)
How do I get a strawberry and a truffle in Harvest Moon: Magical Melody?
In order to unlock strabberies, you first have to ship fifty cabbages.
For a truffle, you can either have your pig sniff them out, (they're found by digging around Mora Trees during fall), or you can randomly dig around the tree and try your luck that way. They're both hard because if you don't use your pig it's all up to chance, but if you do, he's not much help anyway because he falls asleep like every five seconds. I've heard that if you find a patch around the tree with a weed on it , remove it, and then dig, you might have a better chance of finding one. Don't get discouraged though, they're really hard to find. I haven't found one yet either!

Reply:yes you can and i will not tell
Reply:No you can't. Blueberries have a different acid level and will not gel the same as strawberries. You need lemon juice with strawberries and you don't need any with blueberries. Here is a regular recipe for Blueberry jam.
Blueberry Jam
4 cups prepared fruit (buy about 4 pt. fully ripe blueberries)
1 box Pectin
1/2 tsp. butter or margarine
6 cups sugar, measured into separate bowl
BRING boiling-water canner, half full with water, to simmer. Wash jars and screw bands in hot soapy water; rinse with warm water. Pour boiling water over flat lids in saucepan off the heat. Let stand in hot water until ready to use. Drain well before filling.
CRUSH blueberries thoroughly, 1 layer at a time. Measure exactly 4 cups prepared fruit into 6- or 8-qt. saucepot. Stir in pectin. Add butter to reduce foaming. Bring mixture to full rolling boil (a boil that doesn't stop bubbling when stirred) on high heat, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Return to full rolling boil and boil exactly 4 min., stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim off any foam with metal spoon.
LADLE immediately into prepared jars, filling to within 1/8 inch of tops. Wipe jar rims and threads. Cover with 2-piece lids. Screw bands tightly. Place jars on elevated rack in canner. Lower rack into canner. (Water must cover jars by 1 to 2 inches. Add boiling water, if necessary.) Cover; bring water to gentle boil. Process 10 min. Remove jars and place upright on towel to cool completely. After jars cool, check seals by pressing middle of lid with finger. (If lid springs back, lid is not sealed and refrigeration is necessary.)

Hope you enjoy. :-)

I love the old fashioned strawberry shortcake with the crispy shortcake too. Much better than the sponge version! Here's how I make it:
Prepare strawberries an hour or two before serving:
4 cups fresh strawberries,
3/4 cup brown sugar
Rinse, hull, and slice 1 quart of fresh strawberries, leaving 8 to 12 whole for garnishing. Place the sliced berries in a bowl; add 3/4 cup brown sugar and let stand for at least 1 hour at room temperature.
2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
few grains of nutmeg
1 egg, well beaten
6 tablespoons cold butter
1/3 cup milk, cream, or half and half
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Sift. Work in butter with pastry blender or fingertips; add egg and milk. Mix just until dough is moist. Turn dough into a buttered and floured 8 or 9-inch round cake pan and pat into shape. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes in a 400° oven, or until golden brown. Test with a toothpick inserted in the center. If it comes out with dough clinging to it, lower the heat to 350° and bake about 5 more minutes.
Remove from the pan and split horizontally with a serrated knife. Butter the cut side of both layers. Put layers together with strawberries and their juice between the layers and on top. Garnish with several whole berries and serve with whipped cream.

dunkin donuts, or maybe krispy creme usually located in any truck stop, we have traveled thru your area, and it is a beautiful state. most down south don't have dunkin donuts, so you might want to go with krispy creme. good luck to you and your upcoming baby, have a good new year

Serves 8 to 10
This dessert is proof that cheesecake can be as unexpected as it is delicious. Its surprise comes when intense oven-roasted strawberries are folded into a blend of tangy mascarpone and cream cheese. The mixture is spread over a graham cracker crust and covered with a rich vanilla layer. The result will please on every level.
1 1/2 pounds strawberries, hulled
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 1/2 cups finely ground graham crackers (about 4 sheets)
1 cup plus 3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 pound plus 13 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped and reserved
8 3/4 ounces mascarpone cheese, room temperature
1. Preheat oven to 300°. Place strawberries in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with corn syrup, and toss gently to coat. Bake until syrup thickens and strawberries turn deep red and shrink slightly, about 1 hour 30 minutes. Transfer strawberries and syrup to a medium bowl, and mash with a potato masher. Let cool completely.
2. Raise oven temperature to 350°. Stir together graham cracker crumbs, 3 tablespoons sugar, and the melted butter in a small bowl. Press mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to make an even layer. Bake until crust is firm to the touch and has just darkened, about 10 minutes. Transfer pan to a wire rack, and let crust cool completely.
3. Reduce oven temperature to 325°. Put cream cheese into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment; mix on medium-low speed until creamy, about 2 minutes. Scrape down sides of bowl, then gradually add remaining cup sugar and the salt. Scrape down sides of bowl; add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Scrape down sides of bowl, and mix in vanilla bean seeds and mascarpone until very creamy and no lumps remain, about 3 minutes. (Reserve vanilla bean for another use.)
4. Transfer 5 cups cream cheese mixture to bowl with mashed strawberries; stir to combine. Pour strawberry-cream cheese mixture on top of crust; smooth with an offset spatula. Carefully spoon dollops of plain cream cheese mixture on top, smoothing with an offset spatula.
5. Wrap the exterior of the springform pan in 2 layers of foil; set in a large roasting pan. Fill roasting pan with boiling water until water reaches halfway up the sides of the springform pan. Bake cheesecake until set, about 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes. Remove springform pan from water bath, and transfer to a wire rack to cool. Refrigerate until cold, at least 4 hours (up to overnight).
Note: Roasted strawberries can be mashed and folded into all of the mascarpone-cream cheese mixture, but two contrasting layers make for a prettier presentation. For best results, use an offset spatula to spread small dollops of the plain cheese mixture gently and evenly over the berry base.

Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack. In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, or in a food processor, whip the cream cheese until smooth. Beat in the sugar gradually. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla. Pour over the baked grahmam craker crust in the springform pan. Bake at 300° for 1 hour or until the center is set. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
To make the strawberry glaze - in a small saucepan, blend the sugar and cornstarch together. Stir in the water and strawberries, then cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to boil. Boil for one minute while stirring constantly. Cool completely before spreading over the cooled cheesecake. Refrigerate for at least 2-1/2 to 3 hours before serving.

For best results, use an offset spatula to spread small dollops of the plain cheese mixture gently and evenly over the berry base.

crust
1 9-ounce package chocolate wafer cookies, broken into pieces
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
filling
1 pound good-quality white
chocolate (such as Lindt or Baker’s), finely chopped
4 8-ounce packages cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
3 1-pint baskets strawberries, hulled, halved
1/2 cup apricot preserves
2 tablespoons brandy
for crust: Position rack in center of oven; preheat to 325°F. Butter 10-inch-diameter springform pan. Wrap outside of pan with foil. Finely grind cookies in processor. Add melted butter; process until crumbs are moist. Press crumbs onto bottom and 2 inches up sides of pan. Bake until set, about 15 minutes. Cool on rack. Maintain oven temperature.
for filling: Stir white chocolate in top of double boiler set over barely simmering water until melted and smooth. Remove from over water. Cool to lukewarm, stirring occasionally.
Using electric mixer, beat cream cheese in large bowl until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Gradually add sugar, then salt; beat until smooth. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sour cream, whipping cream and vanilla; beat until well blended. Gradually add melted white chocolate, beating until mixture is smooth. Pour filling into crust.

Run small knife between pan sides and cake. Release pan sides. Starting at outer edge of top of cake, arrange strawberry halves in slightly overlapping concentric circles, covering top completely. Stir preserves and brandy in heavy small saucepan over medium heat until mixture boils. Strain preserves. Brush glaze generously over strawberries, allowing some glaze to drip between berries. (Can be made 4 hours ahead. Chill.)

Strawberry and banana smoothie?
u know the smoothie that they make at caribou coffee

Strawberry and banana smoothie?
Yeah, that's a classic smoothie.
2 frozen, sliced bananas
1 cup of frozen sliced strawberries
1 cup of fresh orange juice
Blend until smooth.
Reply:I haven't tried the one at Caribou, but here is a recipe without milk: 4 frozen strawberries, 1 banana, 1/2 cup of apple or orange juice, 4 cubes of ice, and a teaspoon of sugar. Blend it up and enjoy! If you use fresh strawberries, then add more ice or it will be too runny.
Reply:You can use low fat milk powder or coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk or Rice milk in smoothies if you do not want the calories
Reply:Don't know if this is the same as your coffee place makes but I keep frozen strawberries and overripe bananas in the freezer just for smoothies - put in a blender with plain or vanilla flavor low fat yogurt and a tsp of honey a bit of orange or other fruit juice to make the consistency you like.
Reply:Most smoothies have milk in them. You might be able to replace that with vanilla ice cream, but you'll get some good results if you put in both.

How soon can i plant my strawberry patch?
I HAVE A STRAWBERRY PLANT THAT I GOT FROM MY AUNTIE...HOW SOON SHOULD I PLANT IT?
How soon can i plant my strawberry patch?
strawberries are tubers. They are already growing out of control on my garden, (i live in ohio its anywhere from 70 to 30 on any given day) Any ways you can plant them now, but put them in a spot where they can spread out and not be bothered or be a bother because they will really grow, next year when they come up again you wont believe how much they have spread, good luck, I hope they taste as good as mine do.
Reply:Find a farmers almanac and look up when to plan strawberries for the zone your in. If you live in the midwest now is about the time to plant them.
Reply:i wanna grow strawberries
Reply:They can be planted anytime.
The real growth will begin when the average temperature is 50F or more (10c). that means the average of the night time low and the day time high.
which, like the above poster said, is now.
prepare the soil with some manure or compost if you can. dig it in 8-10 inches (2-2.5dm).
cover the area around the plant with a mulch of straw every year if you want. The straw gives good potassium for sweet berries and also provides a clean place for the berries (but berries that touch the ground are usually eaten by ants).
^^potassium can come from many things though.
The little sprouts that will grow from the sides of the berry plant will turn into new plants if they are allowed to touch down on moist soil. pin them to the soil with little U shaped hooks if you want and then once the baby sprouts roots, cut the stem to the mother plant. You can leave the babies grow right where they are or you can transplant them
or give them to your friends.
Reply:Next time give the area of the country you are living in. Most areas are past frost now so you can safely plant your strawberry. Plant it in well worked soil, no deeper than it is currently in it's pot. and give plenty of room as they put out runners. Give it full sun and water well, and you should be just fine. If you have a problem later in the season with slugs (shelless snails), get some Diatamacious Earth. This is organic, poison free, ad easy to use- just dust on plants. Causes tiny cuts in these pests and they dehydrate and die. Safe around children and pets. Good luck and enjoy your berries.

Should I remove my Strawberry plant runners?
I'm growing strawberries on a pot on my deck. I have everbearing plants and have pinched off flower buds (and will until the end of this month). But about three weeks ago, the plant stopped producing buds. It's still growing healthy new leaves and just started sending out runners. Should I remove the runners because they are using up the plants energy?
Should I remove my Strawberry plant runners?
yes remove all runners on everbearing sttrawberries even after you start letting them flower and set berries. By removing runners he plants will make more crowns which is what you want to happen. letting the runners run means fewer crowns and fewer berries
Reply:From Sunset Guide:
Pinch off all runners to get large plants with smaller yields of big berries; let offsets grow 7-10 in. apart for heavy yields of smaller berries. When your plants have made enough offsets, pinch of additional runners."

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 (9 inch) baked pie shells
whipped cream, for garnish
1. Combine sugar and cornstarch; set aside.
2. Crush (don't puree) one pint of berries in blender or with potato masher, and add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups.
3. In saucepan, bring crushed berries to a boil over medium heat, stir in sugar and cornstarch all at once. Stir constantly until thick and clear.
4. Remove from heat and add strawberry gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Set aside.
5. Mix cream cheese and 1 tablespoon of hot cooked berries; spread mixture over baked pastry shell.
6. Stand the uncooked whole berries, stem end down, on top of cream cheese.
7. Pour hot cooked berries over whole berries.
8. Refrigerate until set, about 3 hours.
9. Garnish with whipped cream and serve.

Whatever happened to strawberry crush?
Dude, that soda totally rocked, and it's not in my area anymore. I havent seen it in a long time actually. Anyone know where I might find some in nyw york?
Whatever happened to strawberry crush?
You can find it but you really have to look or just happen to stumble upon it. We have it out here in CA.
Reply:Oddly, I have seen this in Walmart...Walmart is the only store near where we camp so I only go once a year but check there.
Reply:There is a reason most soda is no longer found. Both Pepsi and Coke make deals with the major supermarket chain to carry their brands and to have it on sale. Most of the supermarket chains have signed to have coke on sale 26 weeks out of the year and pepsi the other 26.
Another factor is shelf space. Whenever coke or pepsi come up with another flavor they make the stores carry it. Instead of having just the reg and diet they now carry cherry, lime, lemon and other flavors. All this takes shelf space and sqeezes out the little brands.
Reply:you can find it but you have to ask the famers first it the other one who can help you
Reply:I remember strawberry crush that was when life was sweet and summer's were long. I haven't seen them but I'll keep an eye out.
Reply:mmm really cool

I've got a Strawberry Daiquiri that's been in the fridge for 5 or 6 months. Is it still safe to drink now?
I've got a Strawberry Daiquiri that's been in the fridge for 5 or 6 months. Is it still safe to drink now, or has it expired?
I can't seem to find any expiration date on it, and the package has long since been thrown out.
It's a Seagram's Cooler.

If it hasn't been opened, it should still be good. If it has been opened, don't drink it. It won't be good for you, and it'll probably make you really sick. But otherwise, I would say go for it.
Reply:Its in the glass bottle right..
And never been opened?
yeah its still good.
And nice and cold..Enjoy
Reply:It will be fine

Reply:Gross! Ew!
Reply:You would probably be safe to drink it, but it might taste a little funky!
