Be Careful doing this yourself. If you want true results go to a salon. But if you are doing this at home don't go directly to the dark color. you have to go one shade at a time until you reach the desired color. If you pour a dark hair color on your light hair it will never go back to light. good luck
What kind of product is needed to turn strawberry blonde hair to a medium brown color?
When you go from being so light to going dark, your blonde hair may soak up more of the color than you expect it to. I recently went from being a honey blond to a medium brown, but, I put a light brown color in %26amp; it came out medium brown due to it soaking it up. So, I suggust that you get a light brown shade ( %26amp; get a light NEUTRAL brown......ash will make your hair look gray %26amp; the golden will be more red due to your hair being a strawberry blond now) If for some reason your hair actually takes normally (to be the light brown) you can very easily put a meduim brown in it afterwards, but, if you were to just put the medium brown in %26amp; it took too much (soaked it up %26amp; came out way too dark) you would need to strip all the color out of your hair %26amp; start all over (which can be done, but, it's just a few extra steps that can easily be avoided)
Reply:Level 3 haircolor type. Loreal,Clairol etc.
Reply:look for a decent hair dye. I have the same strawberry blonde hair, I go for a rich chocolate color, something with a deep red tint to it. I goes well with my blue eyes, and fair skin. I always love going dark every couple of years. Then I maintain it, I use and try different products and types of dyes, as long as they are near the shade that I desire, Just do not get the cheap stuff. Be ready to maintain it also. My hair grows fast so I would have to do touch ups and do the roots every month, so look for something that will not damage your hair too much. Have fun with it. When you change like that it is a huge difference. I loved it, and it make my blue eyes, and make-up stand out more.
Reply:a box of brown hair dye
Reply:okay i've done hair independently for two years now and what you do is find a brown that has red in it and use that first, a while later (not the same day you'll ruin your hair) do a darker shade of brown with no red in it and keep doing that until you have your shade of brown. this is if you're doing home kits but if you want it right away go to a professional.
Reply:One thing, once u get rid of your strawberry blond, u'll NEVER get it back, trsut me, its my natural.
Dont do it at a store...I laughed my butt off when I read, get a box of brown hair dye, omg how wrong, that person doesnt have ne business posting about hair...
Go to Sallys, u need to neutralize the red, so get a neutral blue green base brown, the blue green base withh complement the red. mix with a 20 volumn developer, equal parts
Reply:The best suggestion for you is to see a good stylist who specializes in Color. See your hair has a reddish-gold-brassy tone that needs to be neutralized by another color and that tone is Green. But it's kind of difficult to get it to go to a true med. brown color without knowing how to mix colors. I was kind of in the same situation but i had a reddish brassy color and i kept dying it light brown (because I didn't want to go too dark) but it was still kind of red. Until one day i just went for a med. dark brown and the red did go away although it did take me some time to get use to it cause i thought it was too dark, but after the first week it faded out a bit and i liked it. You can try it yourself just make sure that when you buy your dye it doesn't say : Gold or Red . Stay away from these tones or else you'll still have that Red tone in your hair. True Brown has very little red in it. Unless you are going for that warm red-brown tone then it's ok. Let me know if this helps.
