This is assuming I don't have access to any crazy rare ingredients.
How can I make lassi at home? How would I do it with fruit, like strawberry or the ever popular mango?
We use homemade yogurt and then I add a banana or mango cheeks or whatever fruit you want .Berries are nice , or even a combination works well like pineapple and passionfruit . Then I add a dash of honey and wizz it up in my amazing bullet and slurp away . Yummy .
Reply:I'm sorry, but when I saw you asking how to make Lassi I couldn't help myself. You can't make Lassi, the mommy and daddy dogs can make Lassi.

Mango Lassi
2 c plain yogurt
1 cup mango pulp
1/2 cup crushed ice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 drop mango essence (optional--book says optional and I have never used it but still produces good results)
Place in blender and blend till smooth and frothy.
Savory Lassi
2 c nonfat plain yogurt
2 c crushed ice
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/4 teasp ground cumin
1/4 teasp ground black pepper
1/8 teasp black salt (optional)
Blend yogurt and ice till frothy.
Heat oil in small saucepan. Add cumin and pepper, they should sizzle on contact with the hot oil. Quickly add salt then mix into lassi.
These are the 3 most basic forms in the book. Try experimenting from there with other fruits. Have Fun.
Reply:I would ask Timmy how to make it with Lassie...
Reply:I've made it with yogurt, vanilla, and a sugar/tea syrup.
