like i want it to be a cake but taste like stawberry shortcake.

use a pound cake recipe, or a sponge cake recipe

pound cake

3 sticks of butter (at room temp)

8 oz pkg. of cream cheese (at room temp)

3 cups of sugar

3 cups of flour

6 eggs

1 teaspoon of your choice of vanilla or lemon extract

Pam spray

Bundt Pan

(NOTE: DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN %26amp; DO NOT FLOUR BUNDT PAN)



In a separate bowl combine sugar and flour well. Set aside.

In the mixer bowl combine butter and cream cheese, mix until light and creamy. Start to alternate flour mixture and eggs.

Making sure every single is egg is incorporated well before adding the next. Once all the flour mixture and eggs are mixed in. Add your extract.

Make sure you spray your bundt pan well with Pam spray, right before adding cake mixture.

Place your pan in the center of a cold oven and set your oven at 325. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.







Sponge cake

4 Eggs Separated

3/4 Cup Corn Flour

3/4 Cup Caster Sugar

2 Tablespoons of Custard Powder

1/2 Teaspoon of Bicarb Soda

1 Teaspoon of Cream of Tartar



Preheat Oven to 190c



Beat Egg whites until stiff, Add Sugar Beat for 5 mins

Add Egg yolks, Beat for 2 mins.

Sift in Dry ingredients, Fold in with metal spoon until all combined.

Place in oven for 20 mins..........If using a Slab Pan cook for 15 mins.
Reply:So what you're saying is that you don't want to use sponge cake? Well you could make a vanilla cake instead.

Instructions

Bake a vanilla cake, let it cool. Then slice it in half, "ice" the bottom half with whipping cream whipped with icing sugar then place some strawberries sliced thin on top of that. then put the other half of the cake on and spread the whipping cream mixture over the whole cake. You can then put some strawberries halves on top of the cake for decoration.



edit. I agree it's "not as good" as with sponge cake IMO but the customer is *always* right.
