When do the strawberry festivals start and where could I find it?

When do the strawberry festivals start and where could I find it?
Google "santa maria valley strawberry festival" for one in central California. It already happened this year (end of April). I think berries in general are an early Spring thing.

I mean its not like the Los Angeles County Fair, but it is not dumpy

it is fun

All of this is in Ventura Country

I believe there are a couple of others farther north

then each year the city of Gilroy( inland from San Francisco, by about an 1 %26amp; 1/2 hour ride)

has their famous GARLIC FESTIVAL each year

about this time also

not sure of the exact month

but it is a big deal

Gilroy bills itself as the Garlic Capital of the world

they have orderless garlic, garlic drinks for the fair %26amp; all sorts of recipes
