Ants in my strawberry plants ( organic remedy only)?

I have those dark red looking ants making temselves comfortable in my strawberry plants (2). I planted them in a big tin can and it looks so great. there is no strawberry yet but they are flowering So the ants are taking over and I want a natural organic remedy to make them go away.

I have an ant problem in my garden too and my dad suggested mixing mint extract with water and spraying the plants and ground/pot around them. Good luck!
