How do i plant a strawberry plant?

i live in las vegas and i don't want to put it in the ground here cause i have desert landscaping and the heat will kill it. i have my plant in the pot but its dying. what do i do?

Put the damn thing in some dirt and throw some water on it!

Reply:Keep it shaded, I think it may be the heat thats harming your plant, Las Vegas tends to be really dry, I live in Texas, an I get the same problem, I like to use miracle Grow, its kool, actually theres a strawberry crop right near my house, maybe you should take it out of the pot and plant it
Reply:It probably has just out grown the pot, transplant it. Strawberries grow in hot climates,Mexico, California, Texas so I don't think it's hot enough in Vegas to kill it. Give it some fertilizer and water and you should be eating strawberries in no time.
