How can I strip the strawberry blonde color from my dyed hair?

I want to dye it back to brown ASAP. The dye I bought is "high lifting" and works on naturally medium to dark brown hair. The problem is that my hair is light right now and the directions say it won't turn out very well. Other than washing my head like crazy, how can I get my current color to fade out faster?

First of DO NOT use and at-home hair color remover kit. I made that mistake several years ago. It nearly killed my hair (which has fortunately made a complete recovery).

Going from light to dark is tricky. You may want to go to a professional for this one.

Reply:i would go to a professional but dish soap will help strip out color, if it's that color from a bleaching product nothing will take it out bc color wasn't put in it your natural color was "lifted" out
