Would it b OK if strawberry mousse is mixed with red beans and coconut milk?

Doing a cooking assessment at school and can't think of anything interesting!! BTW, the red beans and coconut milk is Malaysian and one of my classmates wanted to do mousse so I thought of the colour for the dessert...

I think the textures might all be a bit mouth filling and gluey. Maybe the smoothness of the strawberry mousse would be better with something with a little crunch that you can use like a dip chip.

Red bean has such a mild flavour and subtle sweetness ...it would be hard not to overwhelm it. It could also do with a bit of liveliness ...maybe some pastry, maybe some fresh fruit, maybe some roasted seeds or nuts

Try to keep the flavours a bit separate so they dawn on the taster and keep their integrity. Really think about the sort of texture you would like to have in your mouth

Good luck, it sounds like a strange combo but maybe you've got something brilliant in mind (c;

Are you all thinking Mexican style refried red beans? Think Asian style red bean paste used in confectionary and deserts ...lotus seed moon cakes ...mmmm
Reply:I don't think red beans should ever be included in desserts. Especially not in a mousse. Making me kinda sick just thinking about it. ewww!
Reply:you want to mix cocount milk and red beans in with the strawberry mousse? yuck!!!
Reply:The strawberry mousse and coconut milk sounds great. You lost me with the red beans though. That doesn't sound good at all.
Reply:I agree, not a great combo... yuck..
Reply:That sounds GROSS!!! %26amp; no dont mix any of that together!!!
