How do I naturally rid my strawberry plants (and other plants) of RolyPolys?

They are eating all the strawberries. I don't want to use chemicals.
How do I naturally rid my strawberry plants (and other plants) of RolyPolys?
Here are a few of my non-toxic home remedies.

This will cover many insects and even plant diseases: 3tsp. baking soda, 2tblsp. Murphy's Oil Soap (use dish soap or "Orange Glow" as a substitute), 2 tblsp. canola oil, 2 tblsp. cider vinegar, pinch of CHEWING tobacco (optional, but very helpful in guarding against bugs, mosiacs, rusts, and powdery mildews) 2 gal. warm water. Soak tobacco in warm water for 1-2 hours, reheat water to warm, mix other ingredients and spray your plants with a mister. Add 1 tsp. hot sauce for thick skinned veggies and fruits (wouldn't add hot sauce for strawberies), and just wash well before eating.

For aphids, collect some of the aphids, and in a blender, combine 1 small onion, 2 medium cloves of garlic, 1 tblsp. liquid dish soap, 2 cups of water, and the aphids you collected. Spray mist your plants. (Something about dead mushed aphids that deters live aphids).

I also sprinkle diatamatious (sp) earth around and on my plants. It is a natural, non-toxic "powder" safe to use around people and pets, yet to small bugs (and fleas) the powder has razor-sharp edges which cut them and cause them to die quickly. You can even eat food that has the dust on them without any side effects, but, of course, its always better to wash them off first. The effectiveness of the dust is not diminished due to rain or watering.

To help your strawberries, put hay, cumpled newspaper, foil, or plastic under the fruits to help keep them off the ground (will make a huge difference in itself).

Happy gardening!
Reply:You don't they are harmless.
Reply:Try dish soap and water. They don't like soap. And also if you have slugs in your garden...pour beer in a round bowl about 1/2-1" tall and the slugs will drink there selves to death. The soap mixture is good for any little bugger in your garden.
Reply:hmmmm..im not sure about the rollie pollies but with the aphids just collect ladybugs in a jar it shouldn't be hard at this time of year. there are lots the eggs are just hatching. with the rollie pollies i would just keep picking them out whenever i see them because the live slightly underground or borrowing down in a bit of turned up dirt. u'll just have to keep looking and be careful to try and get them all.

good luck!=)
