Strawberry cream rum cake recipe?

My mom's boyfriends birthday is coming up and he asked for a cake. but not just any cake a strawberry cream rum cake. I am almost positive it is like New York style or something. Can i have recipes? PLEASE HELP!

STRAWBERRY RUM CAKE



1 pkg. yellow cake mix

2 eggs

2/3 c. rum

2/3 c. water

1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding

1 1/2 c. milk

1/2 c. rum

1 pt. heavy cream

1/4 c. rum

1 c. confectioners' sugar

1 qt. fresh strawberries, hulled %26amp; sliced



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 (8" or 9") cake pans. Combine cake mix, eggs, 2/3 cup rum and water in bowl. Blend and then beat at medium for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour into pans and bake according to package instructions. Cool layers.

Split into half horizontally. Make pudding according to package using 1 1/2 cups milk and 1/2 cup rum. Spread a little pudding on first layer evenly. Evenly place a layer of sliced strawberries on pudding and spread a little more of pudding on strawberries. Top with another layer of cake. Repeat process. Beat cream, 1/4 cup rum and 1 cup confectioners' sugar until stiff. Frost cake with whipped cream and top with additional strawberries. Chill.

1 pkg white 2 layer cake mix

1 (3 oz.) pkg. Strawberry gelatin (dry)

1/2 cup rum

1/2 cup oil

4 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla



Mix all together in a large bowl. Beat for 2 minutes at high speed; for 1 minute at low speed. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan or Bundt pan. Bake for 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool in pan on cake rack for 20 minutes. Do not invert on a bottle to cool.



Topping:

1 pint strawberries, halved



Glaze:

1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar

juice from 1/2 lemon

1/4 cup rum



Combine glaze ingredients and bring to boil over medium heat. Simmer gently for 3 minutes. Prick cake with toothpick or tines of a fork and slowly pour small amount of glaze on cake. Arrange strawberry halves attractively on top of cake. Pour remaining glaze over strawberries and cake. Serve at once of refrigerate.
Reply:Umm... that is a great cake. But it is kind of sour, since the strawberry is fresh.
