Why isn't it working when I try to use a strawberry as a straw?

I have a strawberry and it's called a STRAWberry so I assumed you could use it as a straw but it's not working! What am I doing wrong?

Reply:You need to get a paring knife and make a small hole that goes all the way through the strawberry. Make sure you have one end of the hole submerged in whatever liquid you are trying to drink, and your lips should completely seal the hole on the other side of the strawberry, then suck! Viola! a strawberry straw!
Reply:Uh, maybe it doesn't work because there's no hole in the middle, try carving a cylinder out of the middle of the STRAWberry and then drinking something with it. good luck!
Reply:they are called that cos they are grown on straw to keep them from getting damaged lol sorry about your drink. add another shot of vodka, eat the strawberry (that'll show it!) and down the hatch.
